GitHub Integration Issues

Blink can't access my GitHub repository
This usually means the Blink GitHub App isn’t installed on your repository or organization. Go to User Settings -> Linked Accounts, click Manage Repository Access in the GitHub section, and ensure your repository is included in the access list.If you’re in an organization, you may need owner/admin permissions to install the app. Even through you linked your GitHub account, if your organization hasn’t installed the Blink GitHub App, Blink won’t be able to access any repositories within that organization.

During installation, you possibly chose “Selected repositories” instead of “All repositories.” Go to User Settings -> Linked Accounts, click Manage Repository Access in the GitHub section, and ensure your repository is included in the access list.If you selected “All repositories” and Blink can only access some repositories, it’s possible that your organization has set up GitHub App policies that restrict app access to certain repositories. Contact your organization’s GitHub admin for help.

For private repositories, you need Triage, Write, Maintain, or Admin permissions to use Blink’s full capabilities like creating branches and pull requests. Users with only read access can use Blink for code research but cannot make changes. Check your repository permissions or ask a repository admin to grant you write access.

Go to Blink Settings → Linked Accounts, find GitHub, and click “Unlink.” Then reconnect with the correct GitHub account. Remember that Blink inherits the permissions of whichever GitHub account you link, so make sure it’s the account with access to the repositories you want to work with.
Slack Integration Issues

First, ensure Blink has been added to the channel by typing
/invite @Blink. Then make sure you’re mentioning Blink correctly with @Blink in
your message. Blink only responds when explicitly mentioned and needs a
clear request or question. Try a simple test: @Blink hello If Blink still
doesn’t respond after checking the above, there might be upstream issues
with the LLM or other service providers that Blink depends on. These issues

I linked my Slack account but don't see Blink in my workspace
Linking your personal Slack account is different from installing the Blink
app in your workspace. A Blink administrator needs to install the Blink app
from Settings → Slack integration page. If you’re not a Slack admin, the
installation may need approval from your workspace admin.

Blink admins control which GitHub repositories Blink can access in Slack
channels through Settings → Slack. These settings apply globally to all
Slack channels, but administrators can also configure access at the channel
level for more granular control. Contact your Blink admin to adjust
repository access.

You need to link your personal Slack account to Blink to view Slack
conversations in Blink’s web interface. Go to User Settings → Linked
Accounts and connect your Slack account. Note that users are not required to
link accounts to chat with Blink in Slack, but linking enables this
cross-platform view.
